Hi All! I'm Donna and if you've found this site, you must be looking for all things baking. From tips and tricks no one wants to share (no gatekeeping here!), tried and true recipes, my favorite cookie cutters (did you know you really don't need a lot of cutters? I realized that after I purchased 800 cutters!) and a little bit of baking science tossed in for those looking for a better experience.

A quick bit about myself. I live in south Mississippi and have owned my cottage bakery, Magnolia Confections, for 12 years — but my journey started much earlier. My mother allowed me to take a cake decorating course at the local high school's vo-tech center and I was hooked. I was 10 years old. It began as a hobby and evolved into a way to earn a living doing what I love.

I have three beautiful grandchildren, John Thomas, Elizabeth, and Charlotte. They are beautiful, messy, smart, and independent — each owns a piece of my heart.

Then there is the terrorist trio. Three foster pups who became my adopted dogs: Rock Hudson, Van Heflin, and Hazel. I call them RockVanHazel because it's usually all of them up to no good!
